The Almaty Zoo is placed on 21 hectares, and its amazing collection of rich and varied fauna of Kazakhstan is represented by many species, in particular such as deer, argali, wolf, bearded vulture, golden eagle, and others. It found the home of the representatives living almost over all the continents of our planet. It has polar and Himalayan bears, tigers, jaguars, Persian, and the Amur leopard, elephants, zebras, yaks, deer, horned goats; American condors, vultures, crows, snakes and crocodiles. In 2003 some South African animals like the giraffes, antelopes and white lions.
